Location
If you are traveling from New York, The Thyme is a 2.5h drive or equal ride on Metro North to Wassaic. The setting is one of deep forests and trails with ridgelines that open into sweeping vistas and ravines that hold hidden waterfalls. Meadows open wide to the sky, and we will receive the crystalline solstice light.
Commune
This retreat is an invitation to be in rhythm with the land, the stars you come from, community, and the light of our winter solstice sun.
The Stars You Are Made Of
Rebecca will guide you through the unveiling of your personal star myths written in the constellations at the moment of your birth. Each participant receives a detailed star map and personalized book. In this journey, the stars become both personal and collective, revealing not only who we are but the story we are all living together.

Nature Hike & Vista
Walk together to a cliffside perch where the land falls away into sweeping views. Here, the horizon becomes a mirror for spaciousness, a reminder of your place in the wide story of the earth and sky.
Sauna & Cold Plunge
Cleanse and invigorate with the elemental ritual of heat and cool water. Move between the warmth of the sauna and the bracing clarity of a lake plunge, awakening vitality and presence.
Food
Our meals are lovingly prepared by Christian and Graziela. Rooted in organic, locally sourced ingredients, their menus highlight the freshest seasonal produce with vibrant vegan and vegetarian options, as well as gluten-free choices. Between sessions, you’ll enjoy Ayurvedic elixirs designed to restore balance and invite vitality.
Evening Sound Bath
Drift into the night with a lyrical, instrumental sound bath. Waves of woven tones will carry you into deep rest, attuning your body and spirit.

Solstice Ceremony
We will be celebrating the turning of the seasons and the rebirth of our Sun. Join us in a Winter Solstice ceremony to welcome the increasing light of our star, the Sun, and as well, the new seeds you will be planting. This ritual is to honor what is ready to emerge and waiting to be realized within you.
Your Stay
Choose from private or shared master suites, each thoughtfully appointed with large closets, dressers, and private refrigerators. Large windows frame serene forest views, bringing the beauty of nature into your room. Spacious, light-filled, and surrounded by stillness, these rooms invite you to rest deeply and awaken renewed.

Story of the Stars is a retreat that calls you back to the myths you carry, the constellations you come from, and the stories written in your soul. Beneath the living sky, we’ll discover how the stars imprint us at birth and continue to rise and set across the stages of our lives; from imprints of our early years, to years of vitality, the wisdom chapters, and the legacy we leave behind.
This is not only an exploration of the heavens, but of the roles we embody in the world, in our vocations, in our communities and in our relationships. To recognize these star stories is to bring the unconscious into light, to listen as the past speaks to the present, and to awaken the larger myth we are living.
Our days will be both grounding and expansive: yoga in the mornings, hiking trails, the invigorating embrace of a cold plunge, the cleansing release of sauna and steam, nourishing food, ayurvedic elixirs, and moments of stillness in nature. Woven throughout is the great story of the sky: constellations as our teachers, archetypes as guides, and the night itself as a mirror.
Each participant will receive a personal star map, revealing the constellations most alive in their journey, and together, as a circle, we will weave the shared tapestry of our stars. Each participant will also receive a 15 - 20 page personalized booklet about the star stories they carry through the past, present, future and the signature star which rises at birth. We will also have the opportunity to commune with the stars and planets and witness them through a telescope.
Story of the Stars is an invitation to reconnect with the myths of the cosmos and the story of your soul. This is an invitation to remember, to re-enchant, and to re-align with the deeper narrative of who you are and your place amongst the stars.
*There will also be plenty of unstructured time for you to rest, relax, sit by the fire and process or commune with others.
