FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN
Six months is an interesting amount of time.
Back in January, under the Capricorn New Moon, many of us planted a seed.
We imagined a future that didn’t yet exist.
Perhaps we knew exactly what we wanted to build. Perhaps we simply felt a quiet pull toward something larger than ourselves.
Now, six months later, the Full Moon in Capricorn illuminates what has taken shape.
What has become real?
This Full Moon carries the steady, discerning wisdom of Capricorn while sitting within the larger story of Saturn and Neptune. We are being asked to distinguish aspiration from distraction and to devote ourselves to what has genuine staying power.
Over the past six months, I’ve found myself immersed in a project that has asked more of me than I anticipated.
Not simply in terms of time or energy.
But in the kind of person it has required me to become. It has asked me to think more deeply about stewardship, structure and our role in these times of profound change.
Less than reaching a goal, perhaps Capricorn is more so about becoming the person who can sustain the journey and show up to it daily. Vision is the easy part. What’s harder is returning to that vision when there's a long list of tedious tasks.
Through uncertainty and changing plans. through difficult conversations, countless revisions and the quiet work that no one else ever sees. That is the work of Capricorn.
We often associate Capricorn with ambition. Lately, I’ve come to think of it as devotion.
A willingness to continue laying one stone after another, trusting that the foundation you’re building today will one day support something far greater than you can currently imagine.
The Moon is full in Capricorn because the Sun is shining through Cancer.
We celebrate the achievement, the recognition and the visible structure in Capricorn.
Nature reminds us to pay equal attention to what cannot be seen.
The taller a tree grows, the deeper its roots must reach.
The higher a building rises, the stronger its foundation must become.
Growth is never one-directional.
Every expansion asks for an equal deepening.
Perhaps this is one of the great teachings of the Cancer–Capricorn axis.
As we move into an era shaped by artificial intelligence, space exploration, and extraordinary technological change, we are also being invited to look more deeply at what came before us.
To understand the long arc of our humanity.
To explore the stories, the wisdom, the wounds, and the patterns that have shaped us across generations.
The farther we reach into the future, the more important it becomes to understand how we arrived here.
Cancer reminds us that belonging is not only found in the places we call home.
It is also found in our relationship to the larger human story.
Capricorn asks us to build the future.
Cancer reminds us to remember what the future is being built upon.
This Full Moon invites us to ask a different question than success.
As your responsibilities grow, has your capacity to hold them grown as well?
As your vision expands, has your inner foundation expanded with it?
Have you created a life that nourishes the person carrying your ambitions?
Achievement without nourishment eventually becomes depletion.
Responsibility without belonging becomes isolation.
The true success of Capricorn is becoming spacious enough to hold what you’ve built with presence, integrity, and care.
Perhaps that is what these past six months have really been preparing us for - to become the person who can hold the vision.
FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN
As you sit with this Full Moon, I invite you to spend a little time reflecting:
Looking back to the Capricorn New Moon six months ago, what has become real?
What foundations have you built that others may never see?
Where has life asked you to become more resilient, more patient, or more devoted?
What part of your inner world now needs as much attention as the life you’re creating outwardly?
What are you ready to release because it no longer supports the future you’re building?
If your life is expanding, what roots need to deepen so that growth can continue?
It mat not be so dramatic; it could be a conversation, a courageous decision, an act of devotion.
May this Full Moon remind you not only to celebrate what you’ve built over the past six months, but also to honor the person you’ve become while building it.

“Whether it’s a personal reading, taking an astrology class, or spending time on a retreat with Rebecca Gordon, you will be forever transformed and see your life through a different lens. Rebecca is a gifted and highly engaging teacher who guides you through understanding astrology with grace and ease. That understanding in turn leads to greater compassion for yourself and others. Rebecca is also a wonderful connector and I’m grateful for such beautiful friendships and inspiring students I have met through studying with Rebecca Gordon over the years.”
“After having read Rebecca Gordon’s book, Your Body and the Stars, I knew it was important to go deeper into studying how the zodiac sign influences health. This class isn’t just for those interested in medical practice, it’s suitable for everyone who also want to be more attuned to their bodies. We were treated to fun and informative sessions on going through our natal charts and watching out for potential health issues, as well as identifying some alignments that could affect the health.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the Astrology of Relationships class. Rebecca is a gifted astrologer with a creative and unique voice. She introduced me to new techniques and added layers to my understanding of synastry. Her distinctive take on the waltz between the sun and moon in relationships provided a fresh new perspective for my understanding of aspects in relationships. There is a Facebook group to connect with your fellow students. I love that all her classes are live and interactive.”
“After studying astrology for over 20 years to then becoming professional the last few years, I am a great believer in continuing development. Through studying and learning from many teachers, I have followed Rebecca for the last two years.
Specialising In Medical Astrology I loved her Health and Wellness course, there was so much information which gave me a deeper understanding of how to bring in the ecosystem.
I would highly recommend this class even if you are not an Astrologer you will still benefit from this class.”
“I have taken two full courses and countless workshops and private sessions with Rebecca. She is undoubtedly a master of her craft and a true mentor for her students. I live in gratitude to her for the rich knowledge she has equipped me in understanding myself and in helping others learn about themselves through astrology.”
“I met Rebecca years ago at a workshop she was teaching. I was immediately drawn to the lightness and life that she brings to the ancient art of astrology - she makes it so accessible and fun, without sacrificing any of its depth and life-changing potential. It’s been such a joy to be in her astrology school. I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of myself, and seen how we are all “wired” really differently, based on studies of natal charts. This has helped me to be much more patient and understanding with my friends and family ;) And, the class really feels like a true spiritual community: supportive, intimate and inspiring. I will miss our weekly gatherings!”
